Legal Officer, Geneva, World Health Organisation

The Legal Officer will support the work of the International Administrative Law section with particular regard to the legal work required for the World Health Assembly and the Executive Board. Specifically, the (junior) Officer will:

  • Assist in preparing legal advice on diverse substantive and procedural questions, which may include matters related to WHO governance and rules of procedure, diplomatic privileges and immunities, national legal systems, contractual arrangements, intellectual property issues, publications, planned collaborations, institutions support, policies and procedures, and other operational matters;
  • Prepare legal briefs and reports with regards to WHA and EB documents;
  • Draft notes, opinions, memoranda on legal questions, for consideration by the Principal Legal Officer and/or the Legal Counsel;
  • Perform extensive legal research and analysis and assist by preparing legal opinions, studies, briefs, reports, and correspondence;
  • Assist with the preparing and filing of statements and motions before international courts and other appeals bodies;
  • Assist in the development of new legal forms and templates, as required, in English and French;
  • Participate in negotiations and settlement of claims and disputes;
  • Any other activity as deemed appropriate by the Principal Legal Officer.

Inventory Manager, any existing Save the Children location

This new role joins a relatively new team and is part of a wider Supply Chain transformation program to improve the overall effectiveness and performance of this function.

As our Global Inventory Manager you will support the overall strategy, and drive the tactical improvement of inventory management and control within our global supply chain.  This includes the delivery of a transformation (in London, our regions and countries) of existing supply chain inventory controls to deliver best practice supply chain inventory management in support of Award Management, International Program Management, and other teams. 

This will involve capacity building, and improvements to systems and procedures across the global supply chain organisation; it also includes working with the Humanitarian, Food, Medical and Construction work streams in the development and implementation of tailored best practice inventory management controls, systems and processes specific to the individual work stream requirements.
